Reducing space in latex

Some useful tricks I learned from past collaborators.

\setlength{\textfloatsep}{4pt plus 1.0pt minus 1.0pt}
\setlength{\intextsep}{4pt plus 1.0pt minus 1.0pt}
\setlength{\floatsep}{4pt plus 1.0pt minus 1.0pt}
\setlength{\dbltextfloatsep}{6pt plus 1.0pt minus 2.0pt}
\setlength{\dblfloatsep}{6pt plus 1.0pt minus 2.0pt}

\usepackage[font={small}, skip=6pt,belowskip=-10pt]{caption}

\usepackage[belowskip=2pt]{subcaption}

\usepakage[small, compact]{titlesec}

remove the following

\captionsetup[figure]{labelfont=bf,textfont=bf}

or

\usepackage[font=small,labelfont=bf,aboveskip=2pt,belowskip=0pt]{caption}
